RE: Olympic qualifier
I was at the game and we had that game won. They tied it with a couple of seconds to go in extra time on a crappy shot.

It wouldnt matter anyway. Team GB is gonna steam roll teams. That team is beyond loaded. Gareth Bale, Kyle Walker, Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Chris Smalling, Danny Welbeck,Andy Carroll, Daniel Sturridge. You could end up with this on the field.

-----------------Sturridge-------------------Welbeck-----------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---Bale---------------------------------------------------Walcott----------
---------------------Wilshere--------Cleverly------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----Rose-------------Jones-----------Smalling--------Walker------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------Adam----------------------------------------

you would still have Andy Carroll, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Stephen Caulker, Sammy Ameobi, Ross Perry, Joe Allen, Jack Rodwell, and Barry Bannan on the bench plus 3 overage players where you would probably add a keeper(wouldnt be shocked if it is David James), an older player that can provide leadership(my pick would be either Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes), and then a forward who wont play much in EURO2012(Rooney???? If not, then someone like Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch, Stephen Fletcher or Gale Agbonglahor)

RE: Olympic qualifier
Regarding Ramsey ... I guess the olympic teams are different than FIFA international teams? How many instances are there when a player plays for one country internationally and another in the Olympics? I'd guess they'd most likely involve Wales or Scotland, possibly Cyprus?

Great Britain isnt recognized by FIFA instead they split it up into the Home Countries of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The IOC doesnt recognize those 4 separately. Therefore, players for Wales(Bale, Ramsey, Giggs, etc) and Scotland(Brannan, Adam, etc) can play for Team GB in the Olympics. The FA's of Scotland, Wales, and N. Ireland arent happy about it and are actively lobbying their players to not play in the Olympics but there really isnt anything they can do about it. Seriously, is Wales going to tell Bale and Ramsey they can't play on the national team anymore??? Hell, Ramsey is their friggin captain now.
