This could be the greatest thing to happen to our playoff chances or the worst.

3SOB did an article on this a few weeks back that sells this pretty hard:

From Zero To Hero: Why The Grizz Should Sign Gilbert Arenas

If there's, in fact, very little risk involved, then why not. He could be a pretty integral piece if he still has the offensive skillset and the ability to play the point some.

About time. This Grizz only weakness is outside shooting/scoring. In the Playoffs, the teams will just pack it in the lane and watch as the outside shooters clank and clank jump shots. If there was an a shooter who could hit 38% from 3 pt. range, this team is deep enough and coached well enough to have a great chance at winning a championship, if they can get Z-bo and Rudy Gay playing at the same time. Arenas could be the missing piece to the championship puzzle.

Will make roster moves interesting for sure. Going to have a roster move someday this week anyway and a second move if we sign Arenas

The Iverson experiment part 2. How could he possibly hurt our team? He only plays 20 minutes a game and we aren't paying him much.

I'm totally sold. Very little risk and gives us a proven player to try to fix our 2 biggest (by far) needs in outside/bench shooting and a back-up PG.
