The epitome of a Bearcat.

he has heart,,but he also has rebounding fundamentals. He lays his body
on the taller opponent, and keeps him behind him, rather than trying just
to outjump. It's old school, but very effective

Parker's ability to check Thomas will probably be one of the keys Thursday night. If he can check Thomas and Gates stays on the floor, I love UC's chances. I think Cash and Craft is going to be an absolute battle. Both these guys know how to force turnovers.

To me the dude is the emotional glue that holds this team together. He gets hit in the face, knocked down, ankles twisted and gets getting off the deck like Rocky. He does battle inside with guys a half foot taller than he is and outrebounds them. Parker has the heart of a Bearcat.

We saw a little of what Parker could do two years ago when Bishop was sent home at the end of the season. I go back to the Oklahoma game in December when Parker brought the Cats back from the dead to set up Cash's game winner.

@Jon Rothstein: Really feel Jaquon Parker is pound for pound the toughest player in college hoops. Grabbed 11 boards last night vs. Florida State.

@Jon Rothstein: Mick Cronin needs to start being mentioned among the elite young coaches in college basketball. 52 wins in the last 2 seasons 4 Cincinnati.
