CMU and EZ
http://www.cm-life.com/2012/03/14/ernie-...all-coach/

I was expecting this.

Just checked their board on rivals. apparently someone is floating rumors that McBroom is going back to Cali. Jackson wants to go to Clev. St. And EZ is looking for a job that he can take Trey with him.

RE: CMU and EZ
Poor timing as one guy they should have hired is now at NIU the other at ISU.

BA might be their best bet right now.

I don't think I would like Bacari at CMU...for selfish reasons. By all accounts he is a nice guy and a good coach...I prefer they hire someone I can immediately dislike.

Central Michigan: Welcome to the cellar.

I didn't think you could possibly go lower than NIU, I think we're about to see the definition of awful.

RE: CMU and EZ
Now this is funny...courtesy of one of our own regarding who should coach for CMU next year...via CMU's Rival's board.

"Jay Smith

Current assistant on a NCAA tourney team.

Has been in the big dance himself as a head coach."

"I would like to thank Central Michigan University for everything and all the support from the fans!! #fireupchips"

RE: CMU and EZ
I'm gonna say that behind the scenes, Ray and EZ will have it worked out within a week. Publicly it won't be talked about until after Detroit gets eliminated and Ray can announce a change in staff. I believe assistant coaches get their contracts renewed or booted right after the final four. So, that would be in 3-4 weeks.

RE: CMU and EZ
I'm interested in Jackson. If he's gone they have a team that could get steamrolled by a good D-III or NIAA (not exaggerating). I never thought they were all that talented, but if they lose these three with no one out there recruiting things could go even farther south. CMU should have been good next year simply based on how bad the rest of the West will be.

That's an incredible waste. He'd be about the 11th man on their bench.

Unofficial does not even mean he was invited. Just means he is on an ego trip

RE: CMU and EZ
Morning Sun has an update with an interesting twist.
Quote:Zeigler served six years at the helm and compiled a career record of 75-11 with a best season in 2009-10 of 15-15.

75-11 is an impressive W-L record

http://www.themorningsun.com/articles/20...513768.txt

Suppose we should be jealous as at least Mt.Pee has a local newspaper.

RE: CMU and EZ
Probably meant 75-111.

Any news on the coaching search? Kinda odd it's taking them so long.
