Really. Then why is Rasmussen regularly on Meet the Press, quoted on the
Big 3 networks, and even used on left and far left cable news like CNN and MSNBC. What don't you grasp about Rasmussen and Gallop. They're the two top political polling agencies in America. If you can't find a poll that meets your need go to Code Pink, or some kook fringe left internet site. No doubt you'll find a plethora of people to sing kumbya with.

Rasmussen <> Gallop. You're lying, you know it, Rasmussen asks right slanted questions and isn't credible. You keep defending Rasmussen like it's yours. Why?

Ultimate poll? November 2008.

Presidencies are fluid and you know that. Bush was wildly popular after 9-11, not so much 2 years later. The largest turnover in congress in 60 years happened in 2010, and it was a referendum on Obamacare. Dartmouth recently did a study that showed the Dems might have held congress in 2010 had it not been for Obamacare.

What? Another (gasp), poll? 03-melodramatic

You'll see how "fluid" it is in November when Romney/Rubio gets their hat handed to them worse than Goldwater.

Only one president in the last 100 years won with an unemployment rate in the Obama range. Obama's current approval rating is 41% CBS news, and 47% Fox News (but of course we know Fox lies 03-nutkick).

His big problem is Independent Voters. If he splits the independents he loses. His approval rating will need to exceed 50% among likely voters just to win reelection. In the last election he won a large amount of independents. Traditionally, independents tend to swing away from the incumbent in midterms and 2nd terms, which is what we saw in 2010. As seen in the Pew Research, Independents tend to lean more towards Republicans when the economy and foreign policy are the key issues, which will be the case in this election. His negatives on his handling of the economy approach 70% in some polls.

Pew Research
Quote:When asked which party comes closer to their views on major issues, independent voters prefer Republicans on foreign policy and economic issues but are more divided on social issues. More say the Republican Party comes closer to their views on foreign policy and national security (by 44% to 30%), but the GOP’s lead is more modest on economic issues (43% to 34%). And slightly more independents say the Democratic Party (39%) rather than the Republican Party (33%) better reflects their views on social issues such as gay marriage and abortion. In this regard, more than twice as many independent voters than Republican voters favor allowing gays and lesbians to marry legally (45% vs. 20%).

Yep, FDR after inheriting yet another Republican caused economic crash, history will repeat itself this time too.

Those lamo's they're throwing up to run against him couldn't even win their own offices they held before, no way they can win the election for POTUS.

The best you have on Romney is he's rich? Ohhh for shame. Never mind that he earned it. Never mind that he's actually run something successfully. We hired a president in 2008 who has never had an ounce of executive experience let alone run a large company. All he's ever known is spending other peoples money. Well he's done that extremely well.

And what's he running on these days? 8.3% unemployment is the new 4.6%. $4.00 gas is the new $1.89. 1.5 trillion dollar deficits is the new $300 billion dollar deficit. Good luck selling that.

As for FDR, he kept the depression going for almost 12 years with one stupid government program after another. Like Obama, we'd had depressions and recessions before, they just never lasted a decade plus. Had the rest of the industrial world not been destroyed by WWII we still wouldn't have come out of the depression. FDR is the father of the nanny state. He and LBJ took us from a government that was run by the states to a government run out of one tiny east coast city.

Until the government is flat broke, and that won't be long, these two Dem icons will live on for all the great things they did for us.

While you indict those two, I'm really wondering who Dumbya is going to endorse, and which candidate is going to pursue his endorsement.

Care to make another bet on that happening this election year? The guy was a flat out FAILURE and his own party is reinforcing that with their distance from him, they know what a loser POTUS he was.

High voter turnout favors Democrats. Low voter turnout favors Republicans.

It's not a surprise that Republicans want to suppress the number of votes cast.

You don't have to be the smartest guy in the room to post polls and sources. You have the same opportunity, but all you seem to do is point out how worthless a Rasmussen poll is, or how stupid it is to show a video of a guy registering to vote with under a the names of a dozen different dead people. There are endless resources online to promote your political point of view. I just rarely see you reference them.

Typical Dip, not secure in his own mindset, has to have validation, and wonders how other people can live without the same.

You cite random videos of singular events as if it's proof positive your already foregone conclusion is right. That's small minded thinking and an insult to our intelligence.

You mean pulling information out of your azz? Validation? Politics is all about validation. The court of public opinion is what drives political decisions in most cases. When we teach kids to write persuasive arguments we always tell them to cite data that helps validate their point.

Trashing the messenger may work in some discussions, but when you're discussing policy proposed by the Attorney General it helps to have some background knowledge and additional sources.
