You might want to listen to your words there, hypocrite.

Quote:When we teach kids to write persuasive arguments we always tell them to cite data that helps validate their point.

You mean by citing random, isolated incidents and casting them as the "trend" that proves your point?

Oh, and by that "when we teach kids", you mean your elementary 5th graders? 03-melodramatic

Your last dozen posts have lacked any sort of valid information. If talking smack were healthy debate then Chris Rock and Bill Mahr would be running the country.

Yeah, citing one of the top pollsters counts for nothing, but saying that it's b.s., that's how you score points. 03-drunk I don't even get why you insert yourself in political debates. Right or wrong, at least some of these people attempt to defend their position with evidence, your postion seems to be to snivel, whine, and complain.

I just assume that an adult can state his position on a topic as well as a 5th grader.

If a kid wrote a paper stating a position, and his reasoning comes down to , "that's b.s." I'm thinking, retention.

I apologize, it's really hard to take you serious most of the time, I'll try harder Dip.

Wow, maybe I should change my ways, start posting mocking cartoons, assume I know more than everyone, make some condescending generalizations, and cite some random example that I'm always right, but wait, you already have that act. 03-melodramatic

Here's the elephant in the room when we're talking about a right such as voting, a poll, a majority, etc means nothing. Just think if we had left it up to a poll, or a referendum for the 65 Voter Rights Act, the very people it was trying to help, wouldn't have been allowed to vote.

Cite all the polls you want, we're discussing a right that is basic and unalienable, the right to vote unimpeeded is a fundamental necessity for a democracy. This photo id does nothing to help and a lot to hinder that right, at the same time there isn't a widespread problem that it comes close to addressing.
