P.S. As the projected starter, he was demoted to second string at Tulane.

There is no information on his 2011 season, so does that mean he sat our and transferred? Is he eligible to play in 2012?

In 2011 he started in 3 games and played in all 13 (played at Hawaii)...So yes if he were coming here he would have to sit out the 2012 season. Then in 2013 he would be a RS Jr with 5 starts (had played in all the other 18 too) under his belt and 2 seasons of eligibility.

Who knows maybe playing close to home will give him some extra juice. Then again the Tulane coach was fired.



So Doeren invited him for a preferred walk on and if he proves himself he can earn a scholarship next year?

That makes sense. Husain started the first two games, then started once in the next 11 games. This on a team that was 2-11 and was hammered in almost every one of their losses.

Looks like he started at left tackle and got moved to backup right tackle. He's a big body with some experience, can't hurt.
