Did anyone else notice -Bearcatty Again
The city was Bearcatty... Had a construction walk-thru on Friday-
everyone was talking about the Bearcats.. Friday night went to the local
watering hole- the placed was filled with UC fans.. Went to breakfast
Saturday morning with my UC jacket on, while eating someone tapped me
on the shoulder, it was a little old Lady that said "it's a good day to be a
Bearcat fan". There were [3] other people there with UC sweat shirts.
As I drove to the bank I saw [2] cars with Bearcat flags. The teller
at the bank saw my jacket and started talking about how good the Cats
looked.. Went to get my taxes and my account was wearing UC shirt.
When I left, he said "Go Cats"..
I have not seen this much support since the BCS football games...

RE: Did anyone else notice -Bearcatty Again
I think there have been a lot of UC fans waiting in the wings for the team to rebuild and make it back.
The rebuilding years were hard on everyone and most people stopped really paying attention, save but the most hard core.
Now that it appears that UC is fully back and good things are happening so for those fans their fandom has reemerged.

It is nice to see the city abuzz about the Cats again!

I bet the sale of basketball season tickets for next year will enjoy a very nice bump.

Went to the first four festival yesterday in downtown Dayton and saw quite a few Bearcats fans walking around. Gave them all a "Go 'Cats" while sporting my own UC gear. Fun time.

RE: Did anyone else notice -Bearcatty Again
The city was definitely in full Bearcat mode Saturday. It felt a lot like the euphoria surrounding the BCS bowls. ESPN coverage of the championship @ MSG truly made me feel it's the biggest conference tourney event in all of college basketball. Let's hope the euphoria translates into season ticket and merchandise sales. In the turbulent world of the power six conferences, UC needs to advance from having competitive teams to big-time support. If the Big East is raided again we'll be even more attractive to the B12 or ACC with a more passionate "invested" fan base.

We were at Pelican's Reef having dinner with clients Friday night. Place was packed and went up for grabs when UC pulled out the win. Entire establishment quit eating and were glued to the TVs.

Just in general, I've noticed a lot more people wearing Bearcat clothing, and cars with the UC logo on it and that was before the basketball season turned for the better.

People generally do not understand how important UC's national recognition and prestige are to the economic future of the entire region. Athletic success and obviously academic recognition play big roles in that.

I went to a local sports bar up in Troy for the Syracuse game. Usually I am about the only one asking to watch a UC game up in these parts . But Friday night I saw a lot of UC gear, and most of the bar was cheering for UC.

I'll be taking a half day on Friday to go to bdubs in Troy to watch the game.

I was over at the Filling Station for the Cuse game. I live about a mile away from it, which makes the drive home easier.

Come on over to Frickers on Friday, I will be there with a group. We like it better than BDubs, not foodwise, but we can take over a whole area easier than at BDubs.

Here's hoping they don't jump off the bandwagon if the Cats drop one Friday.

I think I've said it a hundred times on here. Consistent winning will get the big crowds back. I believe things are going according to plan. A couple wins in Nashville will help, but continued success next year will be much more important.

After saying that, **** it, let's just win a championship.

I would love to see just how Bearcat crazy this city would be if UC made the Final Four or won a national championship!
In 92 I was sadly living in CBus so I did not get to experience a Bearcat crazy city first hand and I wasn't on the [planet in 1961 or 1962.
