FT, while important, is still overrated as a factor in winning and losing. The difference in a 60% FT shooting team and a 70% free throw shooting team is around 2 pts a game. That is basically 1 offensive rebound or 1 turnover.

In general I agree, but hitting the front end of the 1-1 in close games in NOT overrated. Those are huge foul shots where you can ice a game. UC has about given up a few big leads late this year with their late game foul shooting.

I do not have the stats to back this up but Cincinnati's free throw shooting throughout the course of a game is at least average, however in the last 2 minutes they are plain horrible, especially the front ends of 1-1's.

Very true on the front end of 1 and 1s because it is basically 2 misses instead of one.
