13 and 17 are very, very good numbers. I have to guess that with 17 appearances, Miami is king of the MAC in basketball.

That is just like in MAC football championships....

From the 50's to about the mid 90's I think Miami had the most conference championships in all sports of any school. Things obviously are much different today.

yeah, Miami leads the MAC in both football titles and basketball titles. but, as we have all seen recently, Miami winning significant titles is sooooooooo last century!

Football title exactly 1 season ago. Been rough losing to Cincinnati and Ohio the past few years however. Desert as a senior will beat both this year, but first he has to take care of the buckeyes.

No matter how you slice n' dice it, Kitty fans, we still have the most titles and did have a MAC hoops tourney title in 2007 which is in this century last time I checked. Also won MAC in football in 2010 along with a bowl victory.

With all that said, I will be rooting for all MAC teams in the post-season, even the Bobkitten!

P.S. Catch Miami sweeping Michigan State this past weekend in the CCHA hockey tournament.

Ball State I think still has won the most MAC tournament titles. They ripped off a bunch between 1980-1995. MAC tournament was the Ball State Invitational for many years. Ball State hasn't been a factor since 2000. But they were the premier program in the MAC for about 15 years.

Ball State has won 7 MAC tournament titles, the last one coming in 2000. Ohio has now won 6 and Kent State has won 5.
