Does the time of the game really matter? What time was it when Ali beat Foreman in Zaire and Frazier in Manila? It was primetime in Alaska.
10 years from now we won't remember this game. Do you think this win is/would be bigger then a win tomorrow?

AM or PM? No. November vs March? Yes.

Yeeeah that's true. A March games has more meaning. But A big game in November? How often do we get that? You're excited about the new season and toppling the basketball is big in my book. If we lose our next game I think the significance of this game drops off.

Interesting.

The time of the game itself doesn't make it a better win, but I think it's rather significant that it was a primetime ESPN game at the Mecca. Great exposure for recruiting and helping get UC back as a household program. I'll remember this win 10 years from now because it set the record for most single-season wins over AP Top 25 teams in school history (7).

I'll remember it, because we beat the best Syracuse team we ever played, and because it follows a game that was a double OT classic against Georgetown.
Great couple days to be a UC fan. They win tommorrow, I'll damn sure remember it, since it may be the only Big East championship we take. I think people take for granted, just how hard this is to pull off. Yet, if they keep treating it, as just another game; I think this team can beat what ever is put in front of them.
I think, what they've gotten back, is grit. The type I haven't seen since the tearing down of the basketball program.

No doubt. But thats how all tournament games are to some extent.. the individual games are memorable but they are ultimately defined by the success of your run.

A win tomorrow would make tonight's win even bigger.. Knocking off #2 Cuse on our way to a BE title. It goes both ways.

Amen
That's what always bugged me. This team is good but some people won't let them raise the bar. This is why I get pissed when we lose some game we had no business losing. Grit is the perfect word. No way this team is not a top 20 team. Yet here we sit on the outside looking in.
If we can improve our free throws for the big dance, we could strike a lot of fear .

RE: Best win since???
I've got all the games on video back to the 92 Final Four. This is the biggest win of them all. The venue, the stage, the quality of opponent! I feel this is Cincy's biggest win since the 1961 Championship win. Remember how often we hear about how Oscar's 56 against Seton Hall in the 50's put Cincy on the college hoops map? Well that one only had the first two. This is a program defining win that can only be made better with a win tomorrow.

I will say again....winning a semi final game in the Big East tourney is always bigger than winning ANY tourney in November/December...

Best wins ince Man Utd beat Bayern Munich in stoppage time in the Champions League final; 1999?

Doesn't matter, UC won, and how cool is it to watch a prime time conference final with UC in it?

Actually I was thinking it was Arjen Robben scoring late at Old Trafford in 2010 to send Bayern to the semi-finals of the Champions League on away goals.

And yet our RPI is still in the 40's? Who in the hell else has beat 7 top 25 programs this year?

This team was struggling at the beginning of the year, but had really hit its stride at the right time. It's time for us to start getting the respect we deserve.
