Ohio Shatters Basketball Revenue Records in 2011-12
Quote:ATHENS, Ohio - With the tremendous support of Bobcat fans, students and alumni, Ohio Men’s Basketball led the Mid-American Conference in attendance during the 2011-2012 season with an average of 6,177 fans per game.
The season marks the sixth time in the last seven years that the ‘Cats have paced the MAC in average home game attendance. Ohio’s average attendance was nearly 2,000 fans greater than the next highest institution in the season attendance records (Toledo – 4,216).
The season saw Bobcat fans etch several marks into the record books, including the third highest season attendance (105,001) in Ohio history. In total, the Convocation Center saw eight games with crowds over 6,000, including four with crowds over 8,000. Ohio’s victory over Miami on January 21 was played in front of 13,011 fans, the fourth highest crowd in Ohio Basketball history.
With Bobcat fans heading to the Convo in record numbers, the Bobcats also saw several records fall at the box office. The 2011-2012 season had the second highest ticket revenue in Ohio history. Further, the season had the #1 (Ohio vs. Miami, January 21) and #5 (Ohio vs. UNC-Asheville, February 18) ticket revenue games on record.
Students also supported the ‘Cats in unprecedented numbers, shattering attendance records game after game. The 2011-2012 season featured the highest average and total student attendance on record in Ohio Basketball history, as well as the #1 (Ohio vs. Miami, January 21), #2 (Ohio vs. UNC-Asheville, February 18) and #5 (Ohio vs. Akron, February 26) student attendance games on record.

I didn't realize that there was actually a scale for "highness" at OU sporting events, although I guess it does make sense.
Seriously though, nice job by Bobcat supporters.
