Freaken unbelievable
My friend's daughter plays for UCA. They were the number one seed in the Southland Tournament with a 24-5 overall record and had wins over Alabama and Indiana. My friend was leaving tomorrow morning for Kady, Tx for the second round of the tourney- UCA played their opening round game tonight and got blitzed by Nichols State 79-59. I mentioned to him today that the top 2 seeds in the Sun Belt tournament got knocked out in the first round. I then added that that rarely happens in the women's tourney since the divisions between the good and bad teams seems a lot more distinct (ex. I really expected a MTSU vs. UALR women's final, but had no idea what would happen on the men's side). Anyway, lucky for him he didn't book a flight (they were too expensive this late) and was going to drive. I guess he'll be at work tomorrow.
