Talked to the Chancellor at the game today
I asked if Foley was going to get a raise. He said laughed and said, "he certainly made a case for one."

I also asked him how many more years they tournament was going to be in Hot Springs. He said that it was here through 2014. I asked if he thought they would vote to extend the contract, and said he didn't know, but that some of the schools thought it was too far away for their fans. Wherever it lands, it'll be far away from somebody.

I've been to tournaments at Bowling Green, Biloxi, Denton, Little Rock, and Lafayette. None of those cities have embraced the tournaments like the city of Hot Springs has. Hot Springs goes all out for the tournament.

No comparison and I don't know of a city that would embrace it the way Hot Springs does. Still MTSU and WKU probably have enough pull to get in closer to them in the future. Southaven MS, just south of Memphis, would be a good central location, but it certainly not a tourist resort town like Hot Springs. Tunica is probably 20-30 minutes away.

And Elvis and Graceland about 10 minutes away.
