TV rights.
What is everybody's opinion on signing TV rights instead of exit fees and wait times? Clearly the wait times didn't stop West Virginia from leaving and the exit fees are not an obstacle for a team who wants to buy it out for another conference.

I think signing away TV rights for a period of time like the Big 12 did and The Alliance is planning on doing is not a bad idea. This way if the MAC were to promote a team up from FCS like Old Dominion, then another conference with deeper pockets couldn't lure a team away anytime soon as the MAC would still own the TV rights and couldn't be bought out at any price. No way any conference would take a team from the MAC if the MAC still had all rights to broadcast that teams TV games despite being in another conference. That team would be worthless in value to any other conference.
