I hate Roman so very, very much.

Lamps, Terry, and Cole needed to be gone yesterday.

RE: Welp.
The only players I see as must keep are Mata and Sturridge. Everyone else is expendable. I'd gladly take two or so seasons of fighting for fourth with a young squad over this mess. AVB was given a raw deal.

I'll always be a Blue, but I'm not happy with the club right now. This amount of turnover each season is unhealthy.

I keep seeing Mourinho mentioned as the replacement. He and Roman will just get into an egotistical argument again. Not sure he's the best option at this point (but then again, who really is?).

RE: Welp.
You need to go through what Liverpool is going through. The entire Chelsea roster needs to be rebuilt and in the FFP era you can't do that in 1 or 2 transfer windows like you could when Roman first took over Chelsea or when al-Qaeda bought Citeh.

I have a feeling that is going to happen sooner rather than later, but I am all right with that.

A good purge is necessary sometimes.

If you dont make the CL, it might happen anyway. And it might be a few players that you dont want to leave....especially Mata.

Man I hope not...our club will look much uglier, both on and off the pitch, if that happens.

RE: Welp.
Apparently some of the players really hated AVB. They haven't scored 4 goals in forever it seems.

RE: Welp.
one good performance doesnt mean all is right with that team. Teams usually respond to a coaching change but no one in that locker room is gonna get younger.

Come on, Tex. Let us have this day in the Sun!

Happy March Madness day, btw. May your brackets be filled with upsets that you correctly picked.

I'm not saying everything is all right. The team still needs a purge to get younger. That was a marked difference, though. I was an AVB supporter and still am. I haven't seen a Chelsea team like that in a while. Probably doesn't mean much in the long run, but nice to see.

Clean house, recover for a few transfer windows, and come back.

RE: Welp.
This will sound like sacrilege to Chelsea fans but you have to sell Terry, Lampard, and Drogba in the summer. If you don't your new manager will have the same issues limiting their roles as AVB did. Those 3 are not your future and probably shouldnt even be your present.

That's not sacrilege. They are past their prime and gotta go...too much baggage.

It's a disgrace!

I think Lampard could still play a role for the club but only if he understand that his role will diminish and he won't cause trouble for the new manager. If he doesnt? Fair enough but he can go play that role for Bolton.

I agree, not sacrilege. They're are legends at the club, but even legends must move on. You have no complaint from me.

(Plus, I don't think Torres will ever snap out of his bad form with Drogba hanging over him like an albatross)

While he hasnt scored, Torres has been much better lately. TBH, he seems to be playing more of a number 10 role over the last month and he has been setting up goals left and right.
