RE: MAC tournament seeding
Any team in the top 6 can win the tourney. Toledo has the road to do it, but they need to play full games to win it all. WMU has the tallent but as of late haven't been playing up to snuff.
The bottom 5 seeds could all win a game, but I think after that they will all be gone. Miami has the most chance to win 2 games if I had to pick.

I agree. For the top 4 teams this is especially true, but I could easily see BG or EMU/Toledo making a run.

RE: MAC tournament seeding
The top 2 have a decided advantage of rest. The top four teams have a greater advantage than the bottom eight of running the table and winning the tournament. The bottom 8 teams will have tired legs by Saturday nite if they reach that far. The depth of Akron, Ohio, Buffalo and Kent vs a tired team playing 5 games in 6 nites pretty much tells the story. Ohio did it twice will such runs, but that wasn't the same format as this year that tilts the tournament towards the top 2 teams and the top 4. Would be long odds of a bottom four MAC team like Ohio was a couple years ago. winning the difficult 9/8 game on the road then beating the #1 in the quarters and then two more winning including an overtime thriller. Very hard to duplicate the MAC-sanity of that kind of run. Armand Bassett morphed into Kobe Byrant for a week and then did the same to Georgetown in the NCAA.

Buffalo pulled out the win at home 68-64.

1. Akron
2. Buffalo
3. Ohio
4. Kent State
5. Eastern Michigan
6. Bowling Green

That is going to be the top of your field. I have a difficult time seeing anyone else making the quarterfinals.

The way its set up now its 8 teams in the first round and then every round after that has only 4 until the finals.
