My take on the use of this board
Thanks again to Enter Sandman and GT first for making this available possibly in invite only. And to piggy back off of ADCorbetts PM he sent to some of us....

I think we've all seen the main boards (Big East and Realignment) move in a different direction than many of us would like. Alot of us have been here awhile and discussed at nauseum conference realignment. Its clearly a divide of haves and have nots now......The nature of the beast....So now we are faced with a new look in the existing conference we are in, and many of us are a bit disappointed in how things have shaken out. I was a proponent of bringing in some of the non AQ's like Memphis, Temple, ECU, etc, but that was with the conference stay in tact and build from there. Thats obviously lost, and we are left at the moment with a depleted conference and being designated the Big Dog of the conference. We've been that before in CUSA and Metro, but I don't know that we want that role and always look to make our environment bigger and better. So with that said many of us are looking forward to the day that the Big 12 makes it official for us.....the ACC isn't calling, the SEC may have once upon a time, and the Big 10 isn't calling nor do I want them to call. I certainly don't mind all of those conferences being talked about hypothetically for us, but we fit the best in the Big 12 now especially with WVU already there.

Its obvious we are all doing our research daily/weekly to see what we can get to move forward with UL and Big 12 moving forward and equally obvious the Big East and Realignment board is worn out with us posting it. I can respect that, part of it is they realize how much of a loss we are for them in both football and basketball on the field and in the tv contract. Part of it is we do tend to get alittle bit excited about our school and repeat same info on those boards about the Big 12 or something related to it, like BYU news.

I think its a good idea to bring most of that over here, and we can be alittle more loose with our talk, speculation, likes/dislikes of whats going on. Many of us know our local program and the news going on around it pretty well, be it public or private, we tend to see some from other schools lost in the weeds about us on the other boards, as we may be of their schools as well.

Lets keep our love affair with UL over here for the most part, and only post modestly, confidently, and with links/legit info on the other boards, that doesn't have room to be proven different.

Have fun over here all you like!04-rock

RE: My take on the use of this board
I have decided not to post anywhere on the expansion or Big East board unless it is a topic about UofL not started by a Louisville poster. I'm curious how long it's going to take them to notice Louisville fans have almost stopped posting completely on the Big East or Expansion board.

1. Small Voice wasn't invited-(Thank God).
2. No way he is a "Real Louisville Fan".
3. I'm like Cardinal Jim...this is my new home on BBS.

Part of me wishes the BIG EAST could have stayed intact & was still able to bring in Houston, Central Florida, Memphis with Temple & Navy as Football Only. Those schools with the current core 5 of UofL, UC. USF, UConn & Rutgers with the 4 departures of TCU, Syracuse, Pitt & WVU would have been a fantastic football league.

Okay I'm here. Got Sandman's PM. I didn't realize it was getting that bad on the realignment board LOL.

Of course many of you know I'm not one of the pro Big XII guys, but I'm making my peace with it because it's evident that we're going. I just want it all to be over with by March or April.

I think this can be a great place to discuss the realignment news without sticking your head in the sand but also being a separate place where people that want to ignore it or are tired of it can just stay away. No hurt feelings or anyone crying.

EDIT: I'm in favor of any reasonable posters interested in the topic having access, no matter what school they root for.

I respectfully disagree. There are "family" matters that need to be discussed by the "family." An invitation only board gives us a place to do it without the intrusion of those that aren't Louisville fans that don't understand or know what it means to be a Louisville fans. There are some Louisville fans that post here that don't understand that.

RE: My take on the use of this board
I potentially don't know what others would like to share on this board vs PM, so if the board itself is to be fully utilized that approach is fine.
