Maybe it's just me, and maybe this isn't a popular opinion, but I'm so sick of these senior class awards. No one except the die-hardiest of fans of the player/school nominated care about these awards, they're basically just easy marketing for Lowe's.

That said...congrats to Troy for being nominated.

Plus, tough to beat a kid from Army in these awards

I always weigh the community service component really heavily when I look at the profiles.

By and large this is unimpressive bunch of nominees. It's a lot of participating in team community service projects and volunteering at baseball camps. The guys who do Miracle League stuff- that's pretty cool. The guys from Army, Oral Roberts, and Harvard were all relatively impressive. So is our man.
