unbalanced sch after you played 8 times allready, would be what
saving on travell money, how much draw was temple, no damage for that
losing BB games, I'll give that, come up with #

If I were Temple's AD I would just keep the MAC BB agreement for the next 2 seasons to remove that argument.

I would agree with you....based on most of the comments here shouldn't cost much more then the $2.5M since Temple football had no real impact on conference revenue. Keep the bball games for a couple of years as part of a negotiation

That is only correct because UMASS is entering the MAC this year AND the MAC front office dropped the ball by not renegotiating with ESPN this summer because of adding them as 14th team. Now the MAC has lost their argument for having Temple pay much more than the 2.5mil if they were to finishing the 2 years of BB games (10 total games) along with scheduling a visit to UMASS in 2013 for FB.

The MAC front office dropped the ball and its going to be a lost opportunity at a few extra mil for the conference.

They're still leaving with less than 2 years' notice. Actually less than 1 year's notice. That's worth some money.

The inconvenience is worth something. Them actually not being here anymore isn't going to cost anyone other than UMASS and Buffalo some tickets sales.

..if they finish up with the 2 year BB agreement. If not then that is worth something also.

I would have east play their primary division rival twice. That would help attendance. Two battle of the bricks and two wagon wheels at stake. first and last conference games. It would be outside the box but it would be a attendance boost for schools like Ohio that would have a Miami home game every year in football.

Take the 2011 schedule, reverse the home and away teams, and plug in UMass where Temple was. Piece of cake.

For 2013, get the Alliance/Merger to take UMass as a football-only in the East, to balance out Hawaii in the West.

It would screw Western Michigan, as we play them this year, and we have never lost to them. EVER.

In fact Cubit has 3 losses to the East ever.

It'll hurt Ohio more than anyone. That'll mean one less guaranteed win every season for the Bobcats.
