Men's Tennis takes down Hawkeyes
The Broncos downed the Hawkeyes at West Hills 5 - 2.
As a tennis player, I tend to keep an eye on our Broncos. While I haven't followed them as closely this season, my initial reaction is that this is not one of our stronger teams but still must be considered a co-favorite. I believe that the MAC media tabbed them 2nd behind BSU in the preseason poll. Remember, WMU went 5-0 MAC last year, winning the regular season and the only loss was to BSU in the conference tournament.
They currently stand at 7 - 4, having lost to #31 Michigan 7 - 0, #29 Indiana 7 - 0, #62 Northwestern 5 - 2, and Michigan St. 6 - 1. Several of those such as MSU were very close, even though the final score doesn't indicate that.
Quote:"When we set our goals at the beginning of the year, we focus on winning conference championships, reaching the national rankings, and beating Big Ten teams. That's a big measuring stick for us, said WMU head coach Dave Morin. "It took a total team effort in what was a marathon weekend, and I think we saved our best for last."
Well, they finally got a B1G win. Sorry Whinny.

RE: Men's Tennis takes down Hawkeyes
Mr. Whinny doesn't follow tennis. I do know that the Hawkeyes are 1-6 for the year.
