I do agree however parking in convo lot is akin to looking westward and seeing the plains of windswept and barren Oklahoma. {Why it's almost like seeing Russia from Alaska.} There is little sense of connection and more isloation from other tailgaters. I don' t think the band treks over there nor do the chearleaders sell raffle tickets there, right?
I did not see either of these come to the Convo lot this last year. Though I didn't expect them to as I think of it as a perk for the donor lots anyways.

That is very true and I/we need to be reminded of that from time to time.
It would be nice in the Convo area, if maybe even just for the "Opener" & Homecoming they could put one of those "bouncey things" for those with young families with kids. Or maybe some sort of tent selling shirts etc.

+1 That would be fabulous to have one of those near to the Convo lot also. Especially for Homecoming when there are a ton more people.

Because they have too many links in different locations. It is easy to miss. They really need to scrub the site and redue the ticket page.
Here is the link to the updated parking map that is under the Support the Huskies drop down menu...
http://www.niuhuskies.com/support-groups...rking.html
Though even this on still has lot J which was removed last year for the new dorm.

RE: What will last years movie lot tailgaters do?
I skimmed through this thread and maybe I am a little slow, but I have the following questions....
1) Assuming there Spirit lot before form what I read, was it bigger or smaller than the movie lot?
2) What has become of the old Spirit Lot?
3) Has the university owned this lot for a while?
In any case I find the elimination of the movie lot to people paying cash weekly interesting. They have bigger donor lots to the west that are not near capacity for most games I have been to. I think the sasme for the east, maybe other than hc. I don't see it as a major deal, but it was very nice, easy walk for people who have difficulty such as my parents. If there was some sort ot "need" to do it, I understand. I am not sure how this raises more money, other than if the old Spirit lot was not big enough or was eliminated.
@ UI years ago we used to have season tix and parking until they wanted more for I Fund, then pushed parking to the far out lot for smallest donation. Eventually, we got rid of our tix and would go down there and get them cheap since they started to suck. We also used to slip the worker 10, 20 bucks to elt us in a closer lot. Kids were usually working and didn't care. Again, I hope this is a demand issue. But I still question why the west lost is so empty and why something can't be done in that area.

2) What has become of the old Spirit Lot? It will now be a public lot same as the Convo.
3) Has the university owned this lot for a while? NIU has owned the movie lot since before 2005.

The minimum donation went up $25 plus $5 in fees for the Spirit lot.

All the lots are oversold however those people are not showing up to all the Saturday games for some reason.

I park in the Cardinal & Black lot and that never fills up. In fact, I've parked in the exact same spot for years. Then again, that might have something to do with me being one of the first cars in the lot.
