ESPN about as useless as Wally sMALL and the Democrap
I left town Friday morning. Could not get Internet where I was, and kept watching for the scores on ESPN. Watched all evening until 11:00 pm. During the the entire evening that I watched, I only saw Sun Belt scores twice, and one was in the first half of our men's game, and the last time was with :33 seconds left in the game and us the Trojans up by two. I never saw another Sun Belt score the rest of the evening. I never saw a single Sun Belt women's score all night.

I called DollarBill the next morning to find out how we did.

Kinda reminded me of trying to find out something about the Trojans from the Democrap and/or the Trojan Athletic Department.

One good thing that happened while spending the evening trying to get the Trojan scores, was seeing the Florida-pigs score about 50 times that evening, and every now and then, they even showed some video. I loved it. I'll bet John Pelphrey was having an orgasm.

Pelphrey has remained quiet through it all, but I have to imagine he got some enjoyment sticking it to the UA administration. He may have felt bad for the players, since he recruited them all, and obviously wanted to coach his Top 5 recruiting class. At least, he knows he never lost a game at Bud Walton by 30 points. In fact, he beat a Top 5 Kentucky team around this time last year at Bud Walton.

Take all those rudy-poo's out of the W column that the pigs bought for their home schedule, and they are a sub .500 team. Even Ray Charles could see that if he was alive. Haven't had a chance to read the papers since I got home, but am curious to read what Wally sMALL had to say about that 30 point ass whipping that the pigs got Saturday. I really wanted them to score one more time and put the big one hundred on the pigs.

I think Wally blamed "tired legs". Ya, I feel sorry for those 18 year old kids having to play two basketball games a week. Must be tough. Of course, unlike midmajors like UALR who mostly bus, they take charter planes to all their away games. That must be tough as well. And, of course, until conference season they played almost all their games at home. Ya, tired legs must be it. I think he also blamed the refs- that's always a good excuse when you lose by 30 points.

Some on the hog boards blamed the fact that Florida was "fired up" to win the game for Pelphrey. You think the Chickenhawgs may have had a few reasons to be fired up as well- a national TV game, a sell-out crowd, a last chance to get back on the NCAA bubble, playing a Top 15 team, and showing their ex-coach that they could play. Boy, those Florida players sure must love their new assistant coach.

Florida is the class of the SEC, along with Kentucky. Both are possible Elite Eight or better teams, so the truth is that the Hogs just got an old fashioned butt whipping by a terrific team. Doesn't mean they're that bad. Just that the other team was a lot better. We've had our plows cleaned before. Just part of the game. And the fact they've won a lot of games against less than stellar competition is just part of the game. They've also beaten some good teams like Vandy and Michigan. Granted, both at home, but they won. They're playing with a short stick this year, and maybe next, but they'll be very good in a few years. Anderson is a very good, proven coach.
He'll win big with his players in time.

I finally read his column, and it's typical chicken **** Wally sMALL. Every chance he gets to cut down a former coach from Fayetteville, he carves him up. Pelphrey didn't deserve that column. Can't remember when his nose came of of Pelphrey's ass, but boy, when it does, he gives them hell, and he starts the smear job, and does it everytime that coaches name pops up. It's a wonder somebody hasn't slapped the **** out of minnie mouse over the years.

Wally's nose stays up there until the tide begins to turn on a coach. He loved Nutt for years, loved Heath for a couple of years, and called for Arkansas to "lock-up" Pelphrey after he beat Texas and Oklahoma his second year. He'll be a little more careful with Anderson, because of how his criticism of Nolan backfired. But he'll sour on Anderson, too. Anderson's shown he can't win on the road and his gutter ball style doesn't work like it did in Nolan's hey day. Coach Haith has taken Anderson's players (minus their best returning big man who is out for the year) who went 8-8 last season, and turned them into the best team in the Big 12. Amazing what a little structure, discipline, and offensive sets can do for a team. And Haith was a very average coach at Miami.
