MTSU gets NIT home game
MTSU will host Marshall in the 1st round of the NIT. They are the 4 seed and could face Tennessee with a win.

Looking forward to that game on Tuesday. I'll be there, hopefully there will be a nice crowd. Possibly a MT-UT matchup? I'd like that. Too bad I couldn't go if it happens...

Don't get me wrong, I want to beat Marshall, but I can't think of a worse way to end this season than losing three of our last four to WKU, stAte, and Tennessee.

2 of your bigger rivals and an instate school that you cant stand. Yeah that would definately stink.

Better take care of the Herd first....they are playing very good ball right now! I understand the game two situation, WKU gets UK if we get by opening round. it would suck to lose to UK , Murray St , MTSU and Louisville all in the same year :(

GO MTSU - do the Belt proud!

I am disappointed that Denver was not able to snag an NIT berth, given that DU had 22 wins, more than 19 teams who were selected and a 10-3 mark against a hard non-conference schedule. DU also had three victories over NCAA tourney teams (St. Mary's, Southern Miss and WKU).

Denver's administration elected not to take a berth in the CBI or CIT. They are trying to send a message to the team and coaches that the program is playing for the NCAA or NIT berths. DU has invested a lot in trying to bring hoops to relevance here, and with CU and CSU making the dance this year with similar coaching staff tenures to Joe Scott, the message is pretty clear...

RE: MTSU gets NIT home game
I really want the UT/MT matchup. Yea it would suck to lose to them, but this is the ONE year in a LOOOOONG time that it would actually be a pretty even matchup and would make a good game. You can't win if you don't take the opportunity! Plus, local sportscasters were talking last night on how good of a game UT vs. MT could be. We have both split with Belmont. UT lost to Ole Miss, who we beat. I just think it would be awesome!

But others are right. We have GOT to get past Marshall first. They have been playing VERY well lately. Hopefully, we can get it together and start making free throws!

I agree. It should make for a really good game. We also split with Belmont.
I'm not sure what your schedule was like, but we beat Iona, Cincy, Southern Miss (twice), and only lost to Syracuse by 6 at Syracuse.

Good luck to you04-cheers

That would be great. I wouldn't be able to go though, but I'm sure the Raiders would bring a thousand or more fans to TBA. It would be fun. Just gotta get past Marshall first. Need a big crowd tomorrow...
