FIU thread
Might as well get it started. I would be fairly confident if it weren't for the fact that they play so much better on the road than they do at home.

That's really strange.

They are a puzzling team. Size to burn, and loads of talent. But they can't win consistently - except on the road.

Maybe they've got another Sidney Moncrief. Sidney could recruit, and did very well the short time he was here, but showed no signs of been able to coach'em. He signed some very good players who played well for Porter.

FIU thread
I felt sorry watching the fiu kids. They were poorly coached but did hustle.

Why were they pressing at the end of the game down a ton with both teams kids starting to play out of control? I am glad we did not get any of our kids hurt.

FIU has some talented kids, but after watching them tonight, I can see why they haven't won much. That team has no discipline. Where does discipline come from? The coach of course. Is Isiah Thomas another Sidney Moncrief as a coach. Sure looked like it tonight.

Sidney Moncrief, Clyde Drexler, Isiah Thomas, Corliss Williamson. I think I see a trend.

Look at the stats
When you hold the other team to 30.5% shooting, good things usually happen.

One of our best shooting games, except at the line. We came close to making as many FTs as they attempted, and if we had shot decently, we would have.

Typical Courtney name. He just gets it done.

Must have been one of Javes' better games. Two assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals, zero turnovers. Little things buy a guy who is not a primary scorer that win games.

Will had a huge game with his family in attendance.

Was the crowd involved?

Those of you who were there can now say you have seen a Hall of Famer get chucked out of a game - as a coach.

Here is the kind of thing that wins ballgames. Eric, Marlo and Reggie played 5 minutes each, but they were a combined 2 of 3 from the field, 3 of 3 from the line, 2 rebounds.

RE: FIU thread
We did give up 18 offensive rebounds to FIU. Seems like that is beginning to be a problem if my memory serves me correctly.

That 7 footer from Belgium gave us some real problems. He's going to be really good in another year or two.

I thought this kid played pretty good in the 27 minutes he got. Courtney did not score in the first half. But he got 13 in the second half when the big guy did not play much. He had only 1 foul. I guess he did not fit the mold of thug like the other players did. FIU has had a lot of players foul out over the season. I see why.
