Has he made it 10 minutes without picking up 2 fouls?

Seems like he can't. Part of it is him, and part of it is the Don Lawson syndrome, where MAC refs get it in their walnut sized brains that, "He is foul prone, therefore I must blow my whistle and point at him often."

RE: Ball St @ WMU
His second foul tonight was a player control foul. 3 on 2 fast break. He easily could have caught the ball, jump stopped, and passed it to a slashing player for the easy layup. Instead he caught the ball and trucked right through a Ball State player. That could have been easily avoidable. That said, had he avoided that situation he probably would have gotten a second foul the next time down the court.

Well I really liked the way the guys finished off Ball State last night especially Nate! Here is a replay of his dunk and 3 ball near the end of the game. Nate's dunk came when we were just ahead by 6 with just over 4 mins left!

Thanks for catching the misprint. I have fixed it to say "replay".

I agree with you! I thought I would get some kind words for posting a "replay" of Nate's dunk but instead the spelling police were unleashed. Hard to make people happy these days. Oh well!

MAC Refs think Stainbrook is a total douchebag, and they don't mind calling fouls on him AT ALL. Sucks.

@Nacho: Grammar Nazi wouldn't care, the typo was a spelling error.
You are most welcome Dip.
On the dunk: while a fitting statement about where the game was headed at the time which certainly had an emotional/energy value to both teams, I don't think it was particularly impressive.

FWIW he wasn't in foul trouble last night. However, I really think they neglect to blow their whistles when he gets fouled by the opponent.
I do agree that whatever approach he is taking, they don't like it, and it's definitely not helping his case.

The dunk looked better in real time because there appeared to be more contact with Jones. Also, we don't see a whole lot of reverse dunks. From where he jumped, I didn't think he had a chance at getting it down.
I wish I had a 40" vertical 15 years ago. Dunking would have been fun.

Thanks for the dunk video. I thought the timing of the dunk in the flow of the game was outstanding to get the crowd going.
FWIW my 'A' key sticks on this laptop quite often.

RE: Ball St @ WMU
I've noticed that Stainbrook's demeanor has changed the last four or five games. He gets fouled too many times that are nevef called and that is what has frustrated him.
My concern is the number of fouls that Whitfield keeps getting. Some of which he can control. I've had at least five people tell me his charging call was one that he could have avoided, but simply passing to the "cutting" player for an easy layup. His second charging foul was so bogus, because of the flop. Flen needs to stay out of foul trouble and right now, he has called attention to the refs and they are on the look out for him. Keep Flen out of foul trouble and this team will make some noise in the tournament.
Always proud to be a Bronco.
