Ladies now in driver's seat for WNIT bid
FAU loses at WKU. We win next 3, against bad to mediocre teams, we clinch WNIT bid. Who would have believed that early in the season. Winning the tourney is certainly not out of the question either.

Absolutely unbelieveable what Foley has done with this team of mainly newcomers and not great returning veterans. If we win out, Coach Foley should be COY along with Coach Shields.

I think Foley would have to win out the remaining four games and win the tournament to be COY. I think Shields could if he wins out in the regular season and gets to the finals. Otherwise, Middle Tennessee wins both awards.

Ummmmm...

Joe Foley won COY in 2010 and 2011 despite UALR not winning the title outright in either year. The Lady Raiders were just as young last year as UALR is this year and tied for the best league record.

Rick Insell should already have the award sewn up. Don't get me wrong. Foley has done a great job with your team. But COY doesn't go to the best coaching job. It goes to the coach of the top ranked team. That way the voters don't have to actually think. Otherwise, they might have to take into consideration the job done by Karen Aston at North Texas in turning around that moribund program versus the job Foley did and compare it to the job Rick Insell has done.

IMHO, Davis and Insell of MTSU both deserve COY for the men and women and I would be surprise if they didn't win it.
