RE: Big East Tourney Bracketology
Trying to figure that out now is going to be an exercise in futility. There are a lot of games yet to play, and this season has been as unpredictable as any I can recall...

Of course, since my memory sucks, I can't recall... 03-banghead

This is a good example of the # 6 & 7 seeds having a much better draw than the 4 or 5 seeds. Avoiding Cuse as long as possible should be the goal this year. No one else has played consistently well.

Hey, from a #1 seed in both the BE and NCAAs to a #13 seed in the BE in one easy year. OK, it wasn't an EASY year. 03-banghead

Pitt has had its consecutive streak of 10 win seasons in conference play snapped. The best the Panthers can finish is 9-9 this season...

Pitt is also in danger of having its run of consecutive 20 win seasons and NCAA tourney visits snapped as well...

Cincy over Louisville, not that any of this matters right now, by virtue of the Notre Dame win.

Past the head to head tie breakers I kinda threw it up to overall rankings not delving into all the big east tie breakers. But thanks ..duly noted and changed

Had a very favorable conference schedule which is why they are not in NCAA tournament consideration. Best conference win is Seton Hall.

Playing Nova, Providence, and Pitt twice each when Pitt and Nova are having down years helps a lot.

@Pitt
@ Syracuse
Cincinnati
@Louisville
West Virginia

generously Im seeing 2-3 in their future. Kind of amazing that out of 9 Big east wins their best is against 8th place Seton Hall.

RE: Big East Tourney Bracketology
The best Pitt can finish now is 8-10. So they're guaranteed a losing record in conference play...

They can still win 20. But they need a post season run to do it...

I doubt that Pitt has any shot at the NCAA tourney at this point, unless the Panthers win the BET...
