How about waiting untill our league is actually in place before trashing it....if BC and Temple had been replaced by Louisville, UC and USF this year...SU would not have even been bowl elgiable
-- I find it interesting that a BC/Texas fan is making these comments because Boston College was a founding member of the Big East and had as much as say as anyone about what kind of shape this league would take.... the actions of Boston College really amaze me...for years they fought against the idea of an eastern all sports league (which in turn alienates Penn St) so they can stay in the BE....then they move to the ACC because they don't like the "hybrid nature" of the league that they helped create and fought for years to preserve....amazing
-- Now schools like West Virginia and Rutgers who fought for the all sports league are left to deal with all the messy details of the split...oh well....have fun going 4-7 for the next 25 yrs BC...there is a reason why your coach wanted the Washington job so badly

If your Longhorns went up against Louisville they would get run off the field. Go worry about how you will get beat down by Oklahoma again next year, and the next, and the next.

Jackson, How do you know Syracuse wouldn't have been bowl eligible with the new Big East teams in place. Louisville would have beaten Syracuse, but I think Syracuse did beat Cincy this year as an out of conference opponent & I think they would have beaten USF. I don't understand your logic.

You are trading 2 teams for 3 teams so the math doesn't work.

no....SU played and beat UC( although the outcome might have been different if they played later in the year) ....assuming that SU would have lossed to USF if they had been playing the Bulls that day instead of the Temple Owls...the only difference in the equation is BC and Louisville

Lets see how your wonderful team do before you talk trash. Or rest of the B12 for that matter.
Syracuse is a HORRIBLE team away from the DOME. Keep in mind this is the same team that almost beat FSU at home but lose to TEMPLE away. Look at their records, their only good win away from the DOME is the BC game. This is the same team that also got trashed by WVA on national TV.
Bottom line is this is college football and things go in cycle. With a new coach, CUSE will be back to their glory days.
With amount of talent in Texas and amount of money spent at UT, what is your team's excuse? They underachieve every year and they always lose the big games.

Exactly. There's a good chance that if UC were in the Big East the Syracuse game would have been later in the year when UC was playing like a Top 25 team.

You forgot about the other now Big East team in the school ranked RIGHT next to you in Louisville. Beat Oklahoma for once.

No coach ever did less with more than Mack Brown except for maybe John Cooper at Ohio State.
Enjoy losing to your rival year after year, suxfan.

And that's where your logic falls down and goes *boom*.
USF doesn't have a healthy Walter Washington, who was the main reason we lost to Temple, since our dumb*** coach designed a special 'd' to try and stop him and when it didn't work, he made no adjustments whatsoever.
You simply can't say because SU lost to Temple they would have lost to USF. Any more than you can say since WVU has owned BC for two decades, no way BC beats the Neers in Morgantown.
Cheers,
Neil
