I don't have any "pull". I try and keep my suggestions to those that will not cost the program much money if any at all.
I really think the lack of us NOT having more than 1 game on CSN has to do with our contract with IMG/ISP. I think that we took the easy way out with a guaranteed paycheck and gave up our rights in this department...though that is with no inside info and it may not be that way.
I believe that this is the case.

1. Sims' kick to seal the MACC (nuff said)
2. Durante's INT against ASU (I'm partial to moments that occur while the game's still going on where you just know that "now we've got this bastard")
3. The Sims kick against BSU, followed by the premature artillery strike on the Ball State sideline (nobody survives a trip to Dekalb)
4. The whole second half against WMU, where the Broncos were reminded in most convincing fashion who was the alpha male in this pack.
5. Lynch's drive in the Go Daddy/ Demarcus Grady going to the phone in an "all hands on deck" moment/ and Harnish running back out on the sideline
6. Celebrating on the field in Mobile
7. Having a cold one (or four) outside of HuskieHog64's RV after the EMU game with "Detroit Rock City" blaring.
8. Dancing with Mrs Cawoo after HC at Lord Stanley's (somehow, after a Homecoming win, even dirty polka songs about sorority b*tches and transvestites seem romantic)
9. The whole next day after the Toledo game (once I could be sure that I wasn't going to have a cardiac arrest)
Your #8 was #1 on my list.
(Oops, guess I should not have mentioned that!)
So you were the guy with the lazy eye and the orthopedic shoes that tried to cut in? I just chalked it up to typical Stanley's clientele, some of whom were in there when I was at NIU in 1993.
I'm insulted. Those were not orthopedic shoes! They were high fashion farm shoes that were specifically customized to my Sunday best overalls. And, that was not a lazy eye. I had one eye on your wife and one eye on you, trying to figure out who I wanted to dance with. My life is not easy, you know!

Just as the MAC sold its soul to ESPN, NIU sold itself to ISP. The days of the past where almost all of our games were televised are gone.

On the plus side, you can watch the ISU games on Saturday afternoon while you get ready for our Tuesday nighters.

ISP is now part of IMG. Here's a link to the services they provide. Just about everything!

I suppose whatever money they make by not televising NIU games in the Chicago area can go to spruce up that Tennessee Vols Network TV studio.

RE: Top Plays of 2011
IMO, it is a very bad idea to not televise our home games. Why do they have hard-ons for our games on ESPN? It's for the television exposure. Well, by not televising our Saturday home games, we have taken one step forward and three steps backward.

They also are the ones that own our boring grey padded seats that they rent for $5 a game or $22 for the season. I really wish we got them re-covered in red with the Huskie logo on the back facing the field. I know I would pay the extra $110 for my 5 seats per season if they didn't blend in like they do now.

I thought they used to be red and with the Huskie logo. Gee, in addition to our TV rights, we are now selling out our seating. Maybe the chairbacks will soon have the ISP logo.
I don't mind Athletics making money, but selling out our TV rights to have our games not televised is pretty stupid IMO.

We probably got a good deal on these...
Last year suggested to AD Compher to have our seats re-covered like this to spur some more pride in the seats...aka more sales...more money for NIU (and ISP )
