Ditto.

That looks like something that the Oregon Ducks might wear. Most of which is ugly but 'different.'

For me it depends on if the overall unis change as well. Yuck with the current ones, could look good with new ones

I would ask the Gazette guys to find out more about it, but they probably wouldn't have time to answer it until the High school sports seasons are over with in June.

If they put that much black into the unis, I might join you old people that are sick of the black overtaking the brown.

RE: New Helmets
I am all for old school. In my office I have a helmet circa 1995 (brown) and one from one from 2005 (gold). This new version ROCKS! I am all for it and bringing our look to cutting edge. It will also bring some eyeballs our way. That can't be a bad thing.

Looking like Idaho didn't help much. Guess we're going to try the Oregon look (but with adidas gear).

What next - Maryland?

Well, the sticker's nice.

I shudder at the thought of the jersey and pants that will go with that helmet.

We've been steady eddie traditional uniforms for a long time. I think shaking things up is great. What else would we do? Change the colors on the shoulder stripes? Image is everything. Especially to recruits. Pass happy offense with killer uniforms will stand out against our MAC breatheren.

Yeah, that's how the sporting goods companies are selling it.

We've been a pass-happy offense for years. Have had at least four different jersey styles in last 10-12 years or so.

The MAC has been a QB friendly-passing league for years.

Nobody has changed uniform-helmet designs more than Eastern, hasn't seemed to help them much.

Sorry 88, just don't buy the argument.

I can't tell you that thos is a for sure thing, but i can tell you every current player and recent football alum love the new look. Cubit has been quoted before as saying uniform combibations help in recruiting. Such as black top with white pants was huge. It went over real well compared to the gold pants with black top look.

EMU changed from one boring design to another. That isn't in the same league as what is being proposed now.

RE: New Helmets
We have very little tradition and part of it is because we keep changing our "image."
