Toledo and EMU had fair showings vs. the East. Toledo was winning 4 of the 6 games with 8 minutes left to go in those games. And was close with Akron, and Kent into the early second half.

Amazingly:

EMU 2 wins (BG and Ohio),

Two tough losses (Miami and Kent)

and two brutal games (UB and Akron).

"Not bad for a West team"... 05-stirthepot

Both Akron and UB beat Kent.

It's still a two game lead and a one game lead. And both teams have to play at Kent. If KSU beats UB Tuesday, they will be tied. If UB wins, then the lead is effectively one more than the actual lead because of the tie-breaker. The tie-breakers are meaningless when the teams still have to play each other to determine a head-to-head advantage.

Well, most on this board have no clue as to how beat up and injury riddled this WMU squad has been this year. That is in addition to how erratic they've been but also part of the reason.

Many Bronco fans are wondering (or have decided) that WMU has hit their ceiling with Hawkins. But he won't be going anywhere soon, so take heart - you will always be able to beat us when we have a 5 point lead with less than 2 minutes left because, ........... that's what Hawk's teams always seem to do.

It's not enough for us to play East teams tough. WMU is the only West team in the past couple of years to really compete with the East, even if we have lost these OT heartbreakers after leading late. It stinks and is starting to drive fans away from our program.

Define "really compete."

Round Six tally?

Sorry, I don't follow NCAAB closely considering that NIU is fielding a JC unit for now.

Quick scoreboard check, 5-1 East.

That sounds like par for the course.

Disclaimer: It was a quick check, this may be wrong.
