But, if they want to focus on this temporary chink in Josh's armor, then our rebuttal should be:

"If the Tigers are as weak as that, then why don't you put them on your schedule."

Now that the Tigers are in the BE and don't have to worry about strength of out of conference play, there's no reason why they couldn't schedule a couple of SEC teams...or even some former CUSA opponents...

Donovan has been recruiting in the city for years. He's a big-time coach who recruits nationally and gets players from all over. So what? He had Black and Adonis on campus for official visits. This is nothing new. He's also had Mike Miller's cousin coaching AAU in Memphis for a long time. So what?

If I'm not mistaken, the only player Donovan has taken out of Memphis is Brandon Powell. That doesn't mean he'll never get one. But don't get overdramatic. It's recruiting. You target a bunch of guys and you end up with about 3-4 per year give or take. Donovan isn't going to base his recruiting off of Memphis because he's going to be in on great players from all over the country and will always get a few of them. If there's a kid who wants to go to Florida it has nothing to do with what "big games" Josh has or hasn't won. That's ridiculous. Kids know that Memphis is going to be in the top 25 and play in the NCAA tournament and has goals to get to a Final Four. But every group of kids you recruit writes their own destiny. Billy had a group that won two national titles. His next group went to the NIT two straight years.
