Awesome Win
That is what UAB Basketball is all about. That was a a very good USM team.

If we can beat the league leading team that's 20-3 we can beat anyone on our schedule. Our guys are playing with a lot more confidence and hitting big shots. I like our chances the rest of the season.

Great win.

Thanks to Matt for the tickets.

I don't recall seeing too many games from the lower level, the last one being a Cincy game that was sold out that we won.

I've eased off of my criticism's of Tyler when I realized that he has two cousins who played in the NBA. Thanksgiving pickup games must be tough for him. No wonder he tries too hard.

On behalf of all the Tiger fans, great win against a USM team playing at a high level. It just goes to show you how hard it is to go into Bartow Arena and get a win. We look forward to seeing you at the Forum on Saturday.

Why Davis was not playing Tyler more at his true position as a starter or as a sixth man has been beyond me all season. It's like he failed at point guard, which is not his natural position, and Davis completely gave up on him.

Good win and impressive streak we've got going. I'd be dumbfounded if we won @ Memphis.

In the post game report, CMD took the blame for the early season poor showing.

Maybe because everyone on Blazertalk was screaming that he needed to be playing Tyler at point guard instead of Taylor.

RE: Awesome Win
That was fun!!

Boosts my morale tremendously, and I'm sure it does the same for the team.

As QT has improved, so have the results. Plus, the guys are less afraid to shoot, we're not going as deep into the shot clock, and are playing with increased confidence. The slow start was a shame, but you don't lose players like AJ and Jamarr and expect to pick up where you left off. Still, I think we have potential we're only now beginning to feel.

GO BLAZERS! BURN UP THE REST OF THE SCHEDULE!

RE: Awesome Win
Many of us have said since the Summer how well this team can shoot and they're finally showing it. Leading the league in 3pt shooting - finally the guys have the rhythm of the offense. In the 2nd half after QT got dinged after which QT was being beaten off the dribble CMD did a subtle thing that many may not have noticed. On dead balls or when UAB was obviously going on defense he subbed JT in for QT. JT really played excellent defense tonight - especially against Johnson in the 2nd half.

Taylor wasn't playing like he actually wanted to play early in the year. He walked up the floor, stood out near center court lazily with the ball (resulting in several easy pocket-picks), maybe passed the ball lazily on the perimeter til there were 15 seconds on the shot clock, then ran frantically to try to create a play which usually resulted in a turnover or a terrible shot.

Taylor is playing much much better, and it should be no mystery that the better he has played, the better we have faired as a team.

RE: Awesome Win
There were times when they reminded me of "The Fastest 40" when they broke out in fast breaks off of rebounds and steals, Jakore and Robert must have been taking "Clyde Drexler Pills" on their breakout dunks. They looked so much more confident and determined in what they were doing on the offensive end, and that was so great to see, Quincy and "Sgt" Preston, especially. Cam was a ******* beast last night!!!!!

I hope that Coach Davis allows and encourages this style of play, run when necessary, slow it down when you can't, but for the most part, when you make a decision, see it through. After the game when the came thru the student section, you could feel the difference in their demeanors, they looked so happy and confirmed. The kids that met them and got their T-shirts autographed in the stands went nuts afterwards, they were so thrilled. It was a great night for UAB basketball. I'm grateful to have been there to see it.
