Lonesome Dove is without question my favorite movie of all time.

That one particular scene keeps playing in my head, where Captain Call finally determines that they've traveled far enough, and tells Dish Boggans to let the boys know that they've arrived. Dish sits there for a minute, in disbelief, before riding off whooping and hollering, "We made it!!!! We're here!!!!"

This is for the ones who rode out this journey for all these years. Guys like Jeb, GA, Strat. I admire you. I salute you. I thank you.

This is for the ones who didn't get the chance to see this day. Guys like Big Chris, idahotiger, nctiger. I wish they could have been here today.

I wish I could find the proper words to apologize for things I've said in the past. I know I can't take any of it back. I don't count myself worthy of this day. But I love this school. This is one of the greatest days I've ever known.

We made it, boys....

We're here.

And it's so nice to get here with all my Tiger friends, esp. the ones I have met through this board.

It makes all the 4100 Club games and the early morning, cold and dreary Tiger Walks with only 12 other people and the cheerleaders and band, plus the many end-of-games when I and three others were the only fans left in the end zone, and the 120-degree football practices ALL WORTH IT!

This day is for the Diehard Tiger Fans who never gave up and demonstrated it by being there, on Tiger Lane and in the LB, with their bodies at every game, rain, shine, dust storm, or cold. Our long sojourn in the Wilderness is over, and a NEW DAY IS DAWNING!

Looks like we built on an old nuclear dump. Should have gotten an environmental assessment done!

All we can do for now is wait and see how this turns out. There's a big difference between the league dissolving and the 7 bb schools just leaving. Either alternative sucks but if the BEast can remain a conference it will be substantially better for the all-sports schools that are left.
