Not trying to take too much away from the Toledo QB's, because I think they are decent, but if you saw their offense, the majority of their passes are quick little screens and things, with which Page would go nuts.

That's not a bad thing, because they were effective with it, but solely looking at the QB rating when your offense just does that is foolish. You're not going to have many interceptions like that, and a lot of the responsibility is on the WR.

Dink and dunk. Quick strike. That's been Toledo's offensive philosophy for many years.

The coach came out and said they will not use a RB this year. They moved all their RB's to different positions and that is why at least one of them left most recently.

Something about using the system that the Patriots use.

We have to prove it every year. That said, I know the clowns at CMU thought they'd pick right up where they left off when Ryan Ratliff got under center.

That is definitely true, but I think CMU lost pretty much all their supporting cast at the same time as Lefevour. I do admit though it is scary we could be following the CMU story.
We will have great wide receivers, but we lost most of our O-line too. Not sure about our running backs.

Yep. Iowa right out of ther chute will be a tall order for an entirely new O line.

Entirely new O-Line? No. Pegram and Volk have both started at guard and Schepler, one of our better blockers, is returning at TE.

I can buy that! 04-cheers

The biggest questions are who's going to play at center and at both tackles. Volk could end up playing Center or it could be Gegner. At the tackle positions, Krempel, Brown and Pitt all saw playing time on special teams. And, Loos is ready to come back from his injury. I think our tackles, whoever they are, are going to be good. Maybe not as good as Olson and Otis right away, but definitely better than average.

If history is any help, our 2010 OL, except for Olson was all newcomers. Otis had started a couple of games the prior year (similar to Volk) because Kiel had an injury and they turned out okay. The biggest surprise for me was how well Otis played. He didn't get much press but he obviously performed up to the coaching staff's expectations.

Kill was very high on Pitt on signing day. As Doeren likes taller linemen it will be interesting to see if he has any of the 6'6" guys playing guard or center.

Ferentz was being sarcastic. They are one of the more run heavy teams in the big ten and that is not going to change. They landed a 4-star recruit that had offers from all the big schools. I have a feeling he will be starting day one.
