I agree that it will do nothing to suppress illegal immigration, but I do think that local governments should be able to make this decision.

Anyone that wants to come to this country and work in this country should have to learn the language of this country. You can't be successful in this country if you don't speak english.

The school district I just came from taught classes in over 100 languages. Aside from having unneeded teachers on the payroll, what good does it do anyone to keep us linguistically divided? The foriegners want to be treated like equals until they have to lift a finger and do something at which point I'm a racist. The can all F**k off.

It's not government intrusion. It's a mandate that this is how things will run within itself. I don't think it says that you can't speak another language in the store, on the phone, whole playing basketball, or sitting in your house.

There nothing wrong with teaching different languages. But there's something wrong with having to teach IN different languages because the kids never learned to habla.
