Is that an exit sign I see in the distance? Will be if the BE doesn't get serious about creating a great FB conference. Moves like this, it it happens, won't instill confidence in the FB membership.

The BB schools and their leaders seem serious about destroying this conference.

Fortunately it will be pretty easy to tear them down in conference play. Memphis is now the UNLV of the Big East. (Without the great location).Wahoo.

Did a double take here to make sure it was from a Boise fan and not a long time Big East fanbase. You've caught on quick!

Memphis to me in football is a high risk/high reward type of deal. If Memphis turns into what Louisville has done in Big East(or even Cincy)- it's an absolute home run. If Memphis is bad to mediocre- then it's gonna be a major albatross. No real middle ground there at all...

They have a big home field advantage going on in Memphis!

the UofM and the NCAA said that report was not accurate...the NCAA shows 31,756 for that game...so do the Memphis and ECU sites.

If that is there ultimate goal, why give them an invite to the BE? I guess they see the BE as only a stepping stone.

Drivel. Moves like this one weaken the conference. If you can't see that, then you have been hit in the head with a big round orange ball too many times.

I have no issue with Memphis being added in Oly sports. As far as FB goes, we already have some teams that have to prove their value. Belaboring the point is counter-productive.

Pandering to the BB schools because of a few losses at the expense of the FB divisions will only continue destabilizing the conference. TV partners aren't going to pay top dollar for "high interest" games like SDSU-Memphis. We don't need cream puffs. We need competitors. That raises our value for TV contracts.

This move will be a mistake, if it happens.
