All we would have to show is that a new OCS would increase attendance by 2000 or so at least a year.

That is why we were proposing the dang thing.

They are trying to say that you have to fulfill all of the requirements before you can propose anything to help you meet those requirements.

All I have to say is hey UAB what did you draw last year?


Now that said we must show up to games. UAB needs a big attendance year. I know most here will show up I am talking about the casual fan.

Let's say we average 25k next year. Do you think we could get approval based off that or would they say well one year doesn't prove anything, see if you can do it for 3 years. i think less than 25k average next year would be a major disappointment. Assuming we play Al state next year our non-conference home schedule should draw decent crowds (30k)

We still need asses in seats. I hope the season starts well and that we win enough games early to build some momentum. We badly need a winning record to help sell tickets.

That said, I fully expect us to be bowl eligible on faith alone.

Evidently this BOT member must think there may not be a next time. She's the one that said "if". From what I see, I don't think she really gives two hoots about the OCS. Sounds to me she's more tuned in to her Mobile and South Alabama.... Just my 2 cents.

Doesn't matter. UAB needs butts in the seats. Do not let the BOT distract from what we need to do. They want to divide our small fan base even more.
