Yeah... well my alma mater produced me!

Oh, and a high school quarterback that is going to Florida State next year...

Paul has ruled UAB out because he doesn't want to be close to home. It is down to Duke or Georgia Tech. He is waiting to hear from them about scholarship offers. If neither offers, he will walk-on at Tuscaloosa.

Oh, and my high school alma mater produced the mainstays of the Alabama band.

My alma mater won the state basketball championship the last year all high schools were in one category (I think it was 1947). That's the only state championship we ever won in any sport.

A weird fact: my alma mater has been destroyed 4 times. The first 3 times by fire (1910's, 1924, 1954) and once by tornado (April 27th, 2011).

My high school produced a Univ Ga All American and a head football coach at Auburn ( the same guy,,, Pat Dye ). Oh yeah,, it also produced an All American Linebacker who played several years for the Detroit Lions ( John Small ) and me of course, :).

My high school gave UAB The Amazing Blonde Sparkplug.

B.U.S., my HS produced Tom Krebs who played soccer at UVA and is a successful businessman in metro Bham. It also produced Drayton Nabors who went to Princeton and clerked under Supreme court justice Hugo Black . B.U.S. later merged with Brooke Hill School to form Altamont School which employs Barry Bearden from UAB (BB and FB) as men's BB coach who was also a student of mine at WEHS.

My alma mater won the state championship in football this year: Hartselle.

My college alma mater produced my internist, my dentist, my eye doctor, my children's pediatrician and orthodontist.

My college alma mater is getting left in the dust...
