Fleck better hope Huskies don't play Tampa Bay
"Fleck better hope that the Bucs never play Northern Illinois, cause if they do, it's gonna get ugly." So says SB Nation.

I agree- they better not come to DeKalb, or we may just open up a can a whipa$$ on them!!!

Quoting from the article (no comment necessary):

"Good for Fleck for recognizing his limits and wanting to adjust his car...what's that?...he's doing what?...taking the wide receivers coach job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with former Rutgers boss Greg Schiano instead? Oh..."

Hopefully he will make MY Bucs better, make some nice money and add to his resume. Was an article about the hire in both tampa bay times (st pete) and tampa tribune even though it has not been officially announced yet.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least NIU is getting publicity out of this. And remember, all publicity is good publicity!
Now announce new OC on Tuesday (not today or tomorrow as SuperBowl will take all the media attention) and we're all good.

Maybe I'm over-thinking this, but with the unusual circumstances, might PJ ask them to just do a basic press release today or Monday so that it does kind of get lost in the Super Bowl & postgame aftermath.

Again, could be just me.........

True but...
I somehow don't think that PJ will be in contact with Doeren or AD Compher at least until after an OC is named where he may call and say sorry for the snafu...

Well, at least others know it was d*ck move to pull on us. One of the last people I thought would do that. I was telling everyone he will be our next coach novak and stay with us a long time, wow, egg on my face. There are more important things then money but what can we do besides move on. NIU will survive, we always do, we have thick skin and are strong.

Error. My bad here.

I was referring to the TB "official announcement" of PJ, as I don't believe that has happened yet. I believe everything out there is "reported' & by "unnamed sources."

Again...my bad.

PJ needed the pro experience. He will be a much better coach for the experience. It will make him a better HC when he is ready.
