You have a little win streak and a bit of bragging rights, I will give you that. But without Bobby Rainey, and losing Kawaun "UL makes me look like an All-American" Jakes I don't see a repeat performance. Let's revisit this after WKU's trip into Lafayette this next season. I think you will change your tune.

stop trying to pretty it up with 2 of 3.

it's 2 of 2 in humiliating fashion. ownage of the highest degree. not even close.

i'm not talking about stock market picks. i'm not in that bidness. i'm talking about humiliating defeats that embarrassed you into firing your coach.

with andrew jackson and dowling i don't know if you'll get more than field goals. 35-9. my call. good guys.
If I remember correctly the first game UL & WKU played it was at that high school stadium in Bowling Green. Cajuns played poorly and still won. The next year you gave us the gift of getting rid of Ricky Bustle. Thank you once again. This past year, WKU gave us the butt kicking we needed to make a bowl for the first time since 1970. And we won that bowl. Without WKU...where would UL football be?

Speaking of which let's review the word "humiliating". 2009...no doubt that was humiliating. 2010..not so much. 4 point game going into the 4th quarter is hardly something you can call humiliating. But if that's something you wanna hang your hat on, I won't stop you. Not one bit. WKU won, Kawaun Jakes lit us up like a Christmas tree, Rainey ran all over us.

But...we still put up 540 yards against what was supposed to be the best defense in the belt. And we return all but 2 starters on offense, from a New Orleans Bowl championship team. While WKU loses their greatest player ever in Bobby Rainey, who will be playing on Sundays. By all means beed...beat your chest about the past two years. Hell, I would. Just don't use that tired old line, "We owned you last two times we played you" after we skull drag your poor excuse for a football team
up and down Cajun Field for 60 minutes. Payback is a cruel, cruel mistress.

calm down amigo. you're guaranteeing a skull dragging and you have no way of knowing that.

some teams are just bad 'matchups' for other teams.

perhaps ulala is a finesse team and doesn't respond well when someone smashes them in the mouth running the ball down their throat. just a bad matchup mane.

heck....i'd like to know who said we had the best dee. we had one of the best linebackers in the conference in andrew jackson and our secondary improved but it will be light years better this year. we had jared clendenin on the dee line but he wasn't as good as the asu guy.

we definitely had a bend don't break policy in sun belt games. with the addition of talent and depth we should be better on dee and you have no green this year.

don't be surprised if you're cussing western (and me) again. we own you.
Beed if you're, say you're scared. Look back at last year's stats...Green had a good year, but wasn't even 1st or 2nd in catches or receiving yards. We return our top rusher, 3 out of 4 of the top pass catchers, only lose one starter on the offensive line, and Blaine Gauthier will also be back.

WKU loses their starting quarterback, and the majority of their offense in Bobby Rainey (leading rusher by a wide margin and second on the team in receptions). That defense gave up 540 yards of total offense, only 59 yards were relating to Green, and they are all coming back. Imagine what they will do to them this year. i shudder to think of the massacre that lay ahead.

You caught lightning in a bottle last year, but the bottle is gone. Headed to the NFL. What is left behind is a shell of it's former self, and will be easy pickins for the SBC next year.

Smash mouth football doesn't get out gained in total yards by a team that loses to them by almost 20 points. Now what happens this year when Mr. Rainey isn't there to give you a guaranteed 5-6 on every run? It's not gonna be pretty. We can show up and hang 500+ on WKU's defense again...WKU won't be able to. But we will revisit this after the inevitable happens.

You can own us all you want...it won't matter in 2012. The harsh realities will set in. I just hope you don't get to depressed. I don't wanna see you typing in complete, correctly punctuated sentences. That would break my heart. Just promise me that when the hammer comes down, you don't change beed...

no skeered on this end. the fact you thought kawaun 'kajun killer' jakes was gone shows how little you know about football. i thought ya'll followed the sport down in your swamps.

green was the only guy that could score other than one fluke run in the first half. we locked everyone else down. green was a stud.

we held the ball nearly 36 minutes to your 24 and rammed 42 points down your throats.

you can't stop us!. lol.

next year...more of the same.. it's a bad matchup. finesse vs. smash. rock wins over your scissors.

There's two games I really want the Cajuns to win next season. WKU and stAte.

They both stung the most last year, and they're both coming to the swamp this season. I hope we shake off the Jakes Jinx, and I hope Delvin Jones and Jalen Fields make Aplin not want to come on the field.

I'm a younger Cajun fan, and it ain't fun driving all the way back from Jonesboro after losing the de facto SBC championship game on my first in-conference road trip.

Crap is he coming back? At least Bobby "60% of all WKU's offense" Rainey will be long gone. Rainey killed us at the end of the game. Not so much before the 4th quarter.

Green scored twice but only had 59 yards on 8 catches. What will we ever do without him? Just gonna have to make due with the rest of the offense who racked up 481 yards against that defense.

In reality, well south of Bowling Green, we abandoned the run too early, lost Qyen Griffin with a concussion, and became too one dimensional with the passing game. Looking at the stats, UL had 21 rushing attempts to WKU's 44. Our average yards per rush 5.8, WKU 5.3. Had we continued to run the ball, our offense might have stayed on the field a bit longer and actually finished off some drives. WKU had the ball longer but it was on a bunch of short runs where the clock kept running. Clock doesn't run on an incomplete pass beed. But...smash mouth, somewhere north of reality and south of Bowling Green, is giving up 540 yards on defense is smash mouth football. Smash mouth football gives up a ton of yards, apparently.

We stopped WKU many times, we had 3 opportunities in the third quarter alone to take the game back. We failed. Plain and simple. WKU won the game. UL lost.

It's a great matchup for UL if we can put up 500+ yards. You lost your rock...gonna have to use paper this year beed...scissors cut right through paper...like a hot knife through butter. Hell we might even put up 600+ yards beed. I hope we get more smash mouth football from WKU.

RE: Early look ahead to next year.
If Jakes does get beat out of the starting lineup, I guarantee that he will still have one start next year.

We are the only team that makes him look like a legit, if not elite, FBS qb.
