PJ Fleck Quits Two Jobs In Two Days
On Thursday, Fleck quit at Rutgers to take over as Northern Illinois' offensive coordinator. Then, on Friday, he just up and left NIU.

The official story is that he didn't feel he was "ready" to be an OC. The story that's gaining steam though is that he might get hired by the Tampa Bay Bucs and he wanted to be in the NFL. Just a really bizarre story all around.

At least Mike Smith went back to the Jets because they were willing to pay him more money than WVU. But to take a job and then quit because you don't think you're capable of doing the job is a new one on me...

It's a mature decision, though. I wonder if NIU hired him solely due to recruiting purposes?

I'm willing to bet he's going to the Bucs. From what I've heard much of the current staff will be headed there. S&C Coach Butler, DC(In Name Only) Fraser and TE Coach Angelichio are all pretty much locks at this point. OC Cignetti and DB/Recruiter Hafley also rumored to be going. Lukabu from Rutgers also supposedly going. Of those the one we really need to keep is Hafley.

So much for Schiano's love for Rutgers. That would leave us Galiano DL, Smith ST/LB, Hewitt RB and Flood HC/OL. We might end up hiring a lot of the ex Penn St coaching staff (if they are still available). Flood should find out who on his staff is staying and who is going to Tampa Bay, so he can line up replacements.
