UH will not leave Conference USA early unless Conference USA merges with the MWC and agrees to UH's exit early. That is a fact.

Unfortunately the odds of Boise State joining the BE this year are somewhere between slim and none. The logistics are just too difficult to work out on such short notice.

The writing has been on the wall for some time that WVU was going to get out, just how much was it going to cost. BE should have been exploring options well before the last week or so. Everybody is in a really tight spot and don't have much options.

So if WVU does go to the Big 12 this year, do Pitt and Cuse leave after the 2012 season, or do they stick for the whole 27 months?

Part of me hopes Boise comes in this fall. It wouldn't hurt the MWC at all (other than losing a top team) and we could easily slip into WVU's slot. But we're going to have a young, untested team. Wouldn't mind giving them another year in the MWC to tune up a bit.

Most think Cuse and Pitt join the ACC summer 2013. Makes no sense for all of us to overlap for a year.

Would not be surprised but it will cost them. They will probably leave early when the replacements arrive after negotiating their exit fee with class unlike those arses's in West Virginia. After watching their classless actions the past few months I don't blame Dick Rod for trying to stick it them a few years ago. It must be something he learned at WV in "No Class" or "Lack of Class" 101 when he did his under graduate work there.

I think that'll be the case as well. New members will be coming in, and there's no sense overlapping eras. A clean break and new start is best for all concerned...
