Tweaky and I and a son-in-law are taking Dad to see his alma mater play tonight at Clarksville. Class of '50 or '51, I think.

Interesting, and a lot of fun. Probably less than 200 people in the gym, but it was already very loud. If it had been even half full, it would have been deafening. They have an interesting customer there. A line of students stands beside the sideline through the entire first half. Can't sit in the lower seats because of it.

Ozarks won in overtime. Big upset.

It took me back to the good old days. Gym sort of reminded you of something out of Hoosiers.

Funny, but even a non-basketball person like me noticed a lot of things that were lacking in those players. They can shoot the 3 as well as anyone. (Could they against bigger and quicker players, probably not.) But you can see the lack of good coaching. Just fundamentals that are not there. Perimeter defense for both teams was almost completely lacking in the first half. Nothing resembling the intensity you normally see with a Shields team. Lots of bad passes. A lack of fundamental post-up moves by the post men, even if they are slow.
