Despite the fact that that rule in particular was one T violated regularly, I will assume you were unaware of this rule, but now you are aware of it. Yessir, South Jag. It will be an uphill struggle for sure. After UTSA and Nicholls State, we face North Carolina State and Mississippi State and those two teams will be a tough way to start Division I-A(FBS) play. Then the eight Sun Belt teams follow and will be out to shove the football down our upstart throats. Finally, of course will be the trip to Hawai'l for a tough game against the Rainbow Warriors.

A 13-game schedule that's going to test our mettle. We've had a great recruiting year, but will that be enough to keep our heads above water? I have no idea how we'll survive, but I see us possibly winning 4 games, two against SBC teams. Which means we should finish 4-9. A tall order indeed.

Just a little secret, you don't want to play us after a losing season. Our off season workouts have been and will be the toughest in years. When we show up in Mobile you will be seeing a tougher better prepared team than last year.

On your original question to be competitive it will take you anywhere from 3 to 5 years. I am leaning towards a hair over three due to the talent in your back yard.
