We use to think just like that when we were a football school too but now that we are a basketball school we see things differently.

Yeah - I'd be jacked about that fine basketball team you guys have too. Any chance they can get a 12 seed?

I'd love to see them do some damage in the tourney.

Actually even after our Vandy game the ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi still has us as a 12th seed. Frankly I think if we win out the SBC and win the tournament we'll be a bit higher than that.

I don't see much higher. 11, maybe. That would mean 40-44 in RPI, but aside from beating Denver at Denver, which is tumbling right now, you likely won't get much help from beating the rest of the SBC. Take the 12. It sucks, but it's the truth right now.

You're right, but I think that beating the rest of the SBC and winning the tournament should provide us with enough to be at least 12, maybe even 10. But making the tournament and having the chance to beat some big-name schools is enough in and of itself.

RE: Checking in on the Sun Belt
I read an article that showed that 12 seeds are slightly more likely to advance than 11 seeds, especially if a lot of their scoring comes from the front line.
