Quick ?:
Could we have conference games on 9/1/2012?
EMU has 4 OOC games but 9/1 is open.

Yes
EMU will likely play @ Ball St on 9/1/12 as they are the ONLY other MAC school not to have a OOC game that week.
Also likely are...
Toledo vs CMU 9/15/12
BGSU vs Buffalo 9/22/12

If we get shafted, I sure hope we get some major consolation "bucks" or some other consideration (home b-ball game, etc.)

If we do any 1 for 1s we need to make sure they play us at the MAC stadium first, or that we get serious money for a buyout.
Edit: guess I mostly duplicated Cincy's quote, didn't see that.

Miami will likely get a 500k-1mil buyout and have to schedule an FCS team in week 2 at home.

I want 1:1 but the "bigs" won't do that so I would like to see a 1:1:1 or they can see it as a 2:1 for them but that 3rd game (or the 2nd of their games) at a neutral site.
1 at Huskie Stadium
1 at Big Ten Stadum
1 at Soldier Field (this can be technically "their" game if it makes them feel like they are saving face and then they can keep the gate or majority of it).

How much of that would have to go to that FCS team?

Good question. And what if they already have an FCS team on their schedule? That's 1 win, assuming they win, they couldn't count towards bowl eligibility.

Thought most FCS teams will play for around 300k. How much did Toledo pay UNH?

150k-250k Since it is last minuet they may be on the higher side.

They don't have one yet.

RE: Mizzu wants to give Miami the shaft.
CMU has been shafted at least three times over the years. Just before the start of the season in 1985, Central Florida broke the contract, citing they "couldn't afford" to make the trip. I'm not making this up. It occurred so late, the Chippewas was stuck with a ten-game season.
NIU, who bolted for the Big West, took the precedent and ran with it. CMU received shaft #2 and had ANOTHER ten-game season in 1986.
The latest job occurred a few years ago when, after playing at Indiana the Hoosiers were supposed to make a visit to Mount Pleasant. They canceled out so they could play a "home game" against Penn State somewhere on the East Coast. The Chippewas did have enough time to schedule an AA opponent in their place. The last time I heard, Indiana was suing Central (you read that right, it wasn't the other way around). I don't know the status of that litigation.

Mizzou is not coming to Oxford in 2012. That is certain.
Miami's AD claims that Mizzou will come again later and this was just because of the difficulty in the first year schedule of the SEC.
Miami's AD has done a horrible job with scheduling since he came on-so we don't have much confidence.

What I have heard is that Southern Illinois who was scheduled for Sept 8 at Mizzou, will now play Miami (Ohio) on that date. Guess you can call that the Mizzou to the SEC game.
