Good, more playing time for the young players.

Yeap I agree, a positive development for a team that is building.

Sorry to repeat myself - but MM building a program - Izzo let go two players last year and now we reap the rewards. Team chemistry seems to be everything. It's gonna take a little time.

surprising since Toler seemed to do and say the right things in the offseason, but rules are rules.

We couldn't get any worse could we?

He's a senior and he didn't get kicked out of school, very little downside here.

RE: Toler Gets the Boot
No surprise here..he came in last year out of shape. He did lose some weight this year but still did not really looked like he worked out.

Had bad hands besides..seems like he couldn't hang on to the ball...

I hope that for his sake he does stay in school and graduates

Wow, I wonder what rules he violated and how he went from a suspension to being kicked off the team. It does appear that MM does not put up with any BS from his players and I think that will pay dividends in the long run.

This is Joe Novak late 1990s right now. Clean out the garbage, build with those that want to succeed

Was never a big fan. Don't think he appreciated the D1 scholarship he received, judging by the shape he was in last year which for lack of a better word was embarrassing.

By not insisting that TT be in shape last year Ricardo did him no favors. Ricardo was an enabler and had no leadership skills at all. Players want discipline.
All Ricardo cared about was "X".

Still wish TT, the student, well in the real world.

In hindsight, Patton should have been canned halfway into last season, that should not have been allowed to continue.

I hate firing college coaches midseason. Would never do it unless there's a scandal.

Heard that he skipped a class and was forced to sit out a game or two, but no doubt there is more to it. Graduate, Tim, it's the best thing for you.

I see your point but I almost think you could do it on grounds of dereliction of duty. He was not really coaching anymore

During the UT game Toler had a big time attitude and before the game was over he untucked his shirt as if to say I've had enough and walked by Monty. Monty then said something to him and Toler had a look that said screw you and Toler didn't get in the rest of the game.

We were between a "rock & a hard place" with RP. Tough call.

It's tough to quantify the damage RP did to this program. There's a more to it than W & L's. It's about a having a program you can be proud of.

I'm not happy with our basketball program, but I sure am proud of how it's being run.

Toler got booted? Too many parking tickets will do that to you. And those things are expensive to get off.

I remember when that happen. You never untuck your shirt on the court and then walk past the head coach with a smirk. You embarrass the head coach and something will happen. I am sure all the players were watching MM for results.

Time to play smart for Sat. Cut down the tunovers and get good shots.

Looks like he is the first player to quit on the team. Could be the train is coming off the track. What is next for this comedy.
