Good luck lol
I'll be there. They aren't good yet, but I like watching them in person more than online. They play hard, they have good chemistry, and the coaches coach their butts off. I like the efforts. I want to see how they respond to not playing well in the first half the other night. I want to go and support this coach and players and program now, not wait until they are winning games.

+1. I'll be there, too, and I will enjoy the game. I'm seeing quickness and effort that I have not seen in years. We may not be great with these players, but we will get better and be good. We will be great with Monty.

I am SHOCKED this coach ran off a player. What say you, WIS?

He didn't run anyone off. Tim violated rules. I think he was given a chance and didn't take it, so . . .
That's not running someone off!

RE: Toler Gets the Boot
They have trouble scoring now, and they lose Toler too? Going to be a very challenging rest of the year, especially playing against the East division teams. Doesn't sound like Toler gave MM much choice though. Probably Toler thought it wasn't that serious after playing for RP.

Toler averaged almost 11 points per game on a team that does not score a lot. He will be missed.
I really like the kid. Wonder what he messed up?

RE: Toler Gets the Boot
I thank tt for his contributions and wish him well.
I enjoyed watching him play in the few games I have attended the past two seasons.
Little value in rehashing any particulars.
Sometimes rebuilding a team is two steps forward and one back. Happens more often than not.
Adversaties and doing things the hard but right way is rarely pleasant.

Yeah, but you're real and you're spectacular. That's not really fair to Toler. He loses that contest every time. Of course, in Toler's case, he loses to Dog Fan, too.

I love how Patton said he didn't want to recruit JC guys, but then he went out and got Toler.

You know, I think I should be insulted! Lucky for you, I'm too ignorant.

“It’s always a tough decision when you’re affecting a young man’s life and his basketball dreams,” Montgomery said. “You know, suddenly, a guy becomes kind of like your son and your family. You know it’s going to affect not only him, but it’s going to affect your team. But mutually it was agreed it was best that he concentrate on his studies, graduating from college and moving on.”
Even though Montgomery said the decision was made because it was best for Toler to focus on academics, he said the senior is academically eligible. He stopped short of saying the reason for Toler’s expulsion was academically related, and would not go into specifics. Toler will continue to be enrolled at NIU.

RE: Toler Gets the Boot
I believed it, IF Tolar keep his head in the game. Like I talked about with alot of Pattons player, from the shoulder up, He could have been all Mac. I never posted it, but I thought Tim could be a good player. Tim gave up. Maybe he has something going on in his personal life. But he had the talent to be a very good player.

RE: Toler Gets the Boot
Tim Toler should never have been all-MAC. Too fat, too slow, can't defend, turns the ball over too much, not athletic enough. There are big fat dudes at every YMCA that can hit a jump shot. YMCA player, nothing more.
